Where fitness, discipline, and community meet on the mat
We offer kids and adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, both gi and no-gi, plus a focused fight team program. Whether you're stepping on the mat for the first time or gearing up for competition, Atlas is your home in Frewville.
Classes for Everyone
From kids taking their first steps on the mats to adults chasing competition success, Atlas Martial Arts provides a place for all ages and skill levels to grow, learn, and thrive.

No-Gi Classes
A faster-paced version of BJJ that doesn’t require the gi. Instead of grips on fabric, no-gi focuses on body control, underhooks, and speed. This style is popular for competition and MMA, and complements gi training perfectly. Great for anyone wanting to expand their grappling skills in a dynamic way.

Gi Classes
Traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu taught in the Gi. Students learn how to control opponents with grips, sweeps, submissions, and positional strategy. Whether you’re chasing fitness, looking to sharpen self-defence, or aiming for competition success, gi training builds the foundation of every great grappler.

Kids Jiu Jitsu Classes
Our kids’ classes provide a safe and supportive space where young students learn balance, coordination, and self-defence. Beyond technique, we teach discipline, focus, and respect. Qualities that carry into school and everyday life. Parents love the structured environment, and kids love the fun and friendships that come with training.

Striking CLasses
Alongside jiu jitsu, Atlas Martial Arts offers striking classes to round out your skills. With a focus on boxing, kickboxing, and striking fundamentals, these sessions are perfect for improving footwork, timing, and overall conditioning. Whether you want to sharpen your stand-up game for competition or simply get fitter and stronger, our striking program delivers high-energy training in a supportive environment.

Where Are You on Your Martial Arts Journey?

I Haven’t Trained Before
Starting something new can feel daunting, but at Atlas Martial Arts, beginners are always welcome.
Our coaches take the time to guide you through the fundamentals, from learning how to move and control your body to understanding basic positions, escapes, and submissions. Classes are taught in a safe and supportive environment where questions are encouraged and progress is celebrated. You don’t need prior martial arts experience or to be in peak fitness, just bring an open mind and the willingness to learn.

I Already Train and Want to Improve
If you’ve already started your jiu jitsu journey and love being on the mats, Atlas is the perfect place to take your training further. With a mix of gi, no-gi, striking, and conditioning classes, there’s always an opportunity to refine your skills and challenge yourself in new ways. Our experienced coaches focus on helping you polish your technique, build better habits, and develop consistency in your game.
This doesn't have to look like entering in competitions, rather just being the best version you want to be!

I’m Ready for the Next Level
For those who want to test themselves in competition, Atlas offers a dedicated fight team program.
Led by Head Coach Michael, the fight team follows a structured training pathway that includes advanced technical drills, strategy development, and high-level sparring. You’ll also work on mindset, conditioning, and preparation- the key elements needed to succeed under pressure.
From local Adelaide tournaments to major competitions across Australia, you’ll be surrounded by teammates who push you to bring out your best while supporting you every step of the way.

How Our Classes Are Structured
At Atlas Martial Arts, we know that everyone learns differently. So we’ve built our timetable to give you options. Some students learn best by rolling with a variety of training partners, which is why we run regular open mat sessions. Others prefer a more structured approach, so we also run dedicated drilling classes that focus on specific techniques and concepts until they become second nature.
Behind every class is a passionate coach who brings their own experience, energy, and teaching style. By offering a wide range of sessions. From kids’ programs to gi, no-gi, striking, and competition training. We can keep groups focused and ensure no one gets lost in the crowd.
